The Vicar's Letter - 04/02/2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

After the busy liturgical season of Christmas, we have now entered a short Ordinary Time. This is time of prayer and reflection that prepares us for Lent. We look back to the birth of Christ and forward to his impending suffering and death on the cross. Let us therefore use this time to pray that our relationship with Him may deepen so that as His love flows into us, we, too, can share that same love with others. It is through him that all things are held together for the good of all people and the world. St. Paul’s letter to the Colossians reads “He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything” Almighty God, give us reverence for all creation and respect for every person, that we may mirror your likeness in Jesus Christ our Lord.
