The Vicar's Letter - 08/02/2026

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We continue to witness the changing demography of our parish and how the changes impact on the growth of our congregations. With these ongoing changes in mind, and other factors, we need to think afresh how we would like to continue to engage in mission. From Friday 16th – Sunday 18th October 2026, the Leading Your Church in Growth organisation, (LYCiG), will be leading a residential training course at High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon. LYCiG is a Christian organisation who equip church leaders, and churches, to grow both spiritually and numerically. The training will provide excellent opportunity for clergy and lay leaders to grow in confidence, vision, and practical skills for church growth. LYCiG’s training has proved transformative for many churches, helping teams to deepen their discipleship and engage more effectively with their communities. This is highly recommended for us. I would like us to invest in this inspiring weekend together, so that we can be renewed in faith, encouraged in ministry, and equipped for God’s mission. Please let me know if you would like us to take this opportunity. We can attend as a small group, and bring back information which will benefit the whole parish.
