The Vicar's Letter - 15/02/2026

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The season of Lent begins with the service of repentance and renewal on Ash Wednesday, which this year falls on 18th of February. The service will be marked with Holy Eucharist, and the imposition of ashes at St. Augustine’s Church with two services, at 10.00am and at 7.30pm. Please invite family and friends to join us to this service so that together we can submit our brokenness to the Lord and ask Him to restore us to the newness of life. With this in mind, let us embark together on this Lenten journey to strengthen our faith and orientate our hearts to God’s kingdom. By keeping the days of Lent, we are called to repentance and forgiveness of our sins and so grow in faith. Holy God, our lives are laid open before you: rescue us from the chaos of sin, and through the death of your Son, bring us healing and make us whole in Jesus Christ our Lord.
