The Vicar's Letter - 28/12/2025

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In his Christmas message, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that he has been seeing the difference that churches make across the country. He is ever grateful for the countless acts of love and kindness, hospitality, and generosity that Christians share with their neighbours and communities. He went on to say that churches have been at the forefront of responding, supporting families in crisis, strengthening communities, and offering dignity and help where it is most needed. As a parish we can agree with his observation and welcome his recognition of the church’s contribution to social welfare and poverty alleviation through missional events and donations to charities. Particularly, we made special donations to the foodbank during Advent for Christmas’ gifts. Thank you for your generosity. I hope and pray that God will guide us in supporting his work among us in the coming year.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for guiding us throughout this year. Help us to learn from our experiences and take forward the good thing we have learnt. As we look forward to the coming year, we pray for fresh opportunities and resources to continue with the mission of the church, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Wishing you a joyful 2026, filled with love and blessings.

Rev Jairo Nyaongo
