Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we enter this Christmas season, I invite you to imagine a kind of hope that is
rooted in the unchanging nature of God and his promise to restore every part of his
creation. We may have experienced many challenges throughout the year, but I
want you to know that Advent hope does not minimise any difficulties you might have
gone through, nor does it assume things will soon get better. Instead, it introduces us
to a place where we can face the darkness with courage, and choose to trust that
God’s promises, whose fulfilment timing are only known to Him, are guaranteed by
his faithfulness. Hang on in there, and patiently wait for your redeemer. The
Scripture tells us, “no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but
only the Father” (Matthew 24:36)
Rev. Jairo
