The Vicar's Letter - 26/05/2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We had our Annual General Meeting last Sunday, which was successful because of your cooperation and participation. I therefore take this opportunity to sincerely thank you all for your ongoing support for the ministry. Several issues were highlighted at the meeting and we hope to address them throughout the coming year. Many of you work behind the scenes, but your efforts still bring light and joy to our lives together. Therefore your support, whether it is through the running of the groups and committees, magazine and electronic communications, choir, altar service, welcoming, care homes church services, parish breakfast, the church flowers, coffee mornings, community lunches, soup and a chat, cleaning, donations, joining in events, or helping out, all mean a lot to the life of the church. Thank you for being such an integral part of the church; may God continue to bless you. Today at St. Augustine’s church we remember the work and life of St. Augustine of Canterbury, the Patron Saint after whom the church is named. At Holy Trinity Church, we celebrate the Christian Doctrine of the Trinity, the three Persons of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May God continue to strengthen us and all those who support the mission and ministry of this parish.

Rev’d Jairo Nyaongo
